There’s some major news coming out of India. Google has announced it was investing US $4.5 billion in the country’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio. What’s more, Jio also announced a holographic video calls product called, “Jio Glass”.

During the Reliance Annual General Meeting, the company announced an ambitious new offering – Jio Glass. Through Jio Glass, Jio takes your normal office calls to a whole new level.
The new mixed reality headset Jio Glass will make way for a smooth online video collaboration. With the latest product, companies can conduct holographic video calls with 3D figures of themselves and also share presentations at the same time.

Google has announced it’s investing nearly half of its new $10 billion fund ($4.5 billion) in the country’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio — with which it’s also jointly developing an “entry-level affordable smartphone”.
