5 iPhone apps to make work from home a breeze – e-Why, What & How

Working from home because of the Covid pandemic has become the new norm rather than the exception in the past year. We discuss 5 iPhone apps to help you achieve better productivity.

  1. IFTTT

IFTTT connects over 630 apps – Twitter, Telegram, Google Drive, Twitch, Weather Underground, Dropbox, Slack, & devices like Google Home &  Amazon Alexa. The beauty of this app is that you will need to spend less time organizing & opening various apps to stay on task- for instance you can connect your email client to save attachments to Google Drive. Called an “applet” this type of app lets you set rules – “if this then that” so that if an update occurs in one app the “connector” will perform a function on another app.

  1. Headspace

Productivity is often about having the right focus &  staying on task. Working from home is great, but often this results in losing some of your work ethic. Headspace is a meditation app that will assist in meeting this challenge. The app has a “work & productivity” section where you can find courses to help you identify priorities. The app has Content specifically tailored to the concept of retaining & improving your focus.

  1. Toggl Track

Tracking time spent on tasks is essential when working remotely. Toggl Track allows you to start tracking your hours in your browser, then stop it later on your phone. The app also allows users to employ Siri to assist in tracking your tasks (so no keyboard needed). All time tracked is synced between your phone, desktop, Web & your browser extension. Get summary reports to view time spent on various tasks & analyze them on the app. The app also features an export facility so that you can send data to clients or the office.

  1. Project Planning Pro

Excellent project management is critical if you’re working remotely. This app helps you accomplish complex projects with simple gestures on your device. The app is designed to provide flexibility to manage project plans during meetings or when out of office. It is designed to ensure complete project mobility. Manage tasks using the Gantt chart, add tasks including duration & start date, share tasks with team members & create timelines & “todo” lists. Sync tasks in real-time using iCloud & send messages on iMessage, seamlessly. Export data in various formats including XML, PDF & CSV.

  1. Zoom

No list of remote working tools would be complete without Zoom. Use the app to conduct remote, all-team-in live video meetings.
