According to a UBS study released on February 1, ChatGPT, the well-known chatbot from OpenAI, is believed to have achieved 100 million monthly active users in January 2023, just two months after launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer application in history.
According to the survey, reported by rappler.com, based on data from analytics company Similar Web, ChatGPT saw more than twice as many unique visitors each day in January – 13 million — as it did in December.
UBS analysts stated in the report that they “cannot recall a faster climb in a consumer Internet app in 20 years of tracking the internet space.”
The Microsoft-supported startup OpenAI debuted ChatGPT in late November.
