Believe it or not, there’s a new social network with podcasts as the binding force. The phone app called ‘Koo’ allows users consume a continuous stream of bite-sized audio clips, so they “can stay socially connected while riding a bike or walking to school with the screen in their pocket,” according to its developer Alexandre Meregan.
Here’s how he explains Koo:
At Koo! we believe a lot of great content is being held back by teenagers due to insecurities that comes with photo and video. We feel that what you say should be more important than how you look. The app is developed with audio in its core. With one touch users can start listening to their feed and discover famous content creators, friends and topics they like.
To create a Koo, users tap the record button and the app will record the users voice for a maximum of 1 minute. To spice things up, users can be creative and add sound stickers like a drumroll or poop sound and then share their recording with their followers.
