IoT courses

For those of you out there who want to be educated in the Internet of Things (IoT), here’s some news. There are now IoT courses available for free Online.

‘Code IoT’ is a platform with Online courses developed by the Brazil-based Laboratório de Sistemas Integráveis (LSI-TEC). This is an initiative by Samsung, and aims to present concepts of IoT, programming and electronics. All the courses are Online and free.

Samsung’s program offers opportunities for young people to obtain technical training through free courses and scholarship. The partnership with LSI-TEC was announced in 2016 and Code IoT is one of the great results of this alliance.

Courses last 6 weeks each and participants that conclude all proposed tasks receive a certificate for each course.

Courses are intended for basic education students and teachers. However, anyone interested in the subject can enroll.

Registered students have access to course content after its beginning.

You will find six courses that address different aspects of the Internet of Things:

  • Introduction to the IoT
  • Learning to code
  • Electronics: concepts and basic components
  • Physical computing
  • Apps for mobile devices
  • Intelligent objects connected

The entire course Content is made available on the course start date. There are videos, texts and assignments. The courses also have a discussion board. The first four weeks are to present Content and grade assignments, while the last two weeks are for the preparation of  projects, among other things.
