Apple unveils iOS 17 – News

Apple has unveiled iOS 17, a significant release that enhances the communication experience across Phone, FaceTime, and Messages. This update introduces various new features, including Contact Posters, an enhanced stickers experience, Live Voicemail, and more.

The Phone app has received an update with personalized Contact Posters, allowing users to express themselves in a fresh and unique way. Live Voicemail enables users to view real-time transcriptions as someone leaves a voicemail, providing the option to answer the call while the message is being recorded. Additionally, FaceTime now supports voice and video messages, enabling users to share special moments or messages that can be enjoyed later.

With iOS 17, Messages undergoes significant improvements. It introduces an entirely new stickers experience featuring new emoji stickers and the ability to create Live Stickers by extracting subjects from photos. Users can also add effects to their Live Stickers, bringing them to life. The keyboard now includes a convenient drawer that consolidates all of a user’s stickers, ensuring easier access across iOS.

Furthermore, the update introduces new experiences such as Journal, an app designed to facilitate gratitude practice, and StandBy, a feature that provides glanceable information when the iPhone is set down and charging. AirDrop has been reimagined with new sharing options, and autocorrect has been enhanced. Overall, iOS 17 enhances typing speed and accuracy, simplifies sharing with AirDrop, and offers more intelligent input.
