Anthropic has introduced “Claude 2”, a new AI model and assistant, which comes with “enhanced performance, longer responses”, and can be accessed through an API as well as a new public beta Website called claude.ai.
Based on feedback from users, Claude is known for its conversational ease, clear explanation of its reasoning, reduced likelihood of generating harmful outputs, and improved memory. For instance, Claude 2 achieved a score of 76.5% in the multiple-choice section of the Bar exam, surpassing the 73.0% achieved by Claude 1.3. In comparison to college students applying to graduate school, Claude 2 scores above the 90th percentile in GRE reading and writing exams and similar to the median applicant in quantitative reasoning. The startup said: Think of Claude as a friendly and enthusiastic colleague or personal assistant who can understand natural language instructions and assist with a variety of tasks.
The Claude 2 API for businesses is available at the same price as Claude 1.3.
