Android’s new auto-archiving feature – Software

Google released a new auto-archiving feature that removes over 60% of an unused app’s data from an Android phone, freeing up storage space on the device.

The feature is expected to reduce the uninstall rate of apps while still enabling users to quickly download them when needed. According to Google’s Android Developers Blog, this feature does not delete any user data & indicates the app’s presence on the device with a Cloud icon.
