A new social media network that helps users score Websites – #Startups

Ever come across a great Website & wished you could share its ‘awesomeness’ with friends, wished you had a simple method of adding the Site to a ’Best Website’ list or wished you could leave feedback, somewhere, to let the developers know what you think?

Well then, you’re probably not alone, loads of people feel the same way, so there’s a need for a Site which offers a feedback system for rating & sharing websites. ‘Getkelvin’, a browser extension, makes your wishes come true. The developer behind the extension has created a method to easily share & save your thoughts on the Websites you visit.

Each Site rated appears on the Kelvin Website, & opens options to start or add to a discussion about the merits of the Site. Once the extension is installed, a handy icon appears on your browser bar, which when clicked, allows users to view ‘Kelvin’ statistics about the Site. If the Site has already been added to the
platform, the software will indicate that this is so, by displaying a comment bubble, if it has not been added a + icon is shown, giving users the chance to include the site as a new option.

There’s a lot more to it than that, though, once a discussion is up & running, any user can rate the Website, or add comments detailing their experience on-site. If users change their mind about a Website listed, they are given the option to edit their comments & ratings – useful if Websites change their interface or upgrade to correct problem areas.

Kelvin is easy to navigate & visitors to the Site can browse a number of listings & view Websites’ through the eyes of other users, giving an overview of the current status & design level of Web development on the Net.
