Here’s one more security headache. Twitter & Facebook have said 3rd party apps may have improperly accessed personal data of millions of Android users who had used their logins to access these apps. Twitter has already notified Apple & Google of the same.

It’s bad enough that the bad guys are getting more sophisticated with their schemes to steal your personal information. Now, it seems that we’re at the point where even the apps we download from reputable places like the Google Play Store are being used by those same bad guys. That’s based on a report from CNBC that says security researchers highlighted the flaw to both Facebook and Twitter this week.

Facebook and Twitter say hundreds of users accidentally gave improper access to personal data through third-party apps – CNBC


Facebookand Twitter on Monday announced that personal data of hundreds of users may have been improperly accessed after they used their accounts to log into certain Android apps downloaded from the Google Play store.
