It’s official. What we suspected for long is true. A majority of adults in the US, as many as 62%, get their quota of news from social media, according to a survey by Pew Research Center.
As many as 18% of those surveyed said they do so often. The survey was conducted in association with the John S. &James L. Knight Foundation. In 2012, based on a slightly different question, 49% of US adults reported seeing news on social media.
