‘Sans Francisco’ is 1-stop window for designer tools

sanfrancisco

This Website ‘Sans Francisco’ contains 100s of resources for product & Web designers to help them find the right resource for their project’s needs. It has descriptions & links to help designers learn & grow, organized by collections, tools, books, videos, etc.

Too much is never enough information when it comes to inspiration for designers to get their job done better & faster. Sans Francisco provides a chock-full of well-structured lists to help both the novice & the seasoned pro find stuff that will help him or her be more creative & productive. It is human curated by expert self-taught designer, Robinson Greig, who is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA), who built & maintains the site because he…

…spent a lot of time asking friends which tools to use, which books to read, and how to best learn. It seems there are now hundreds of incredible resources out there to help designers learn and craft delightful experiences, but finding the right resource isn’t always easy

The collections are organized into the following major headers: User Research, Typography, Color Palette, Iconography, Stock Photos, Inspiration, Prototyping, Presentation & Collaboration. Users can also suggest tools that might be deemed interesting & have them included in the collections by triggering a tweet at the attention of Robinson Greig’s Twitter account. A bit of crowd sourcing is done to help rank the tools in each collection, also by having you tweet from your account to give a particular an up vote.

The Site also contains job offers in the design field, very well organized by type of position. Posting a job on this list is free for companies until August 15.
