To begin with, ‘Throttle’ is a browser extension. That said, this 1 offers “complete control over your email”. It generates unique email addresses for you, thus protecting your Inbox & your identity. This extension will help you to control who can send you email, hence reducing useless notifications.
How does Throttle extension work?
Well, this extension will add a button to email form fields, thereby generating a unique email address. Throttle then combines your notifications & mass mailings in a single daily digest email. With this, messages will not clutter your Inbox. Also, this extension has features such as the reading list. Therefore, you can enjoy your subscribed newsletters without them interrupting your Inbox. Throttle also allows you to put your related subscriptions into categories for easier Online reading. Eg: A social notification category.
In addition, Throttle has a ‘Revoke Access’ toggle which helps you select who can send an email to your inbox. The unique address that you gave them is shut down automatically. Hence, they’ll no longer “Inbox You” as the don’t have your real email address.
The extension also comes with a ‘Spam Sense’. This enables you to detect when a sender sells or shares your email address. Using Shady Corp. you will get a warning sign saying, “Your email address was sold.” It gives you the option of revoking access to that sender right away. Well, this will enable you to block even the persons they have attempted selling your address.
Throttle is free to download. It comes with 50 authentications, 3 revokes, 5 categories & can be used on 1 device. If you wish to you can upgrade to Plus & Pro with the in-app purchase to get access to more advanced features. For compatibility, it requires your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to run on iOS 9.0 or later.
