If you’ve ever had to find sales leads as part of a marketing or sales campaign, you know that LinkedIn is one of the best places to hone in on industry decision makers & leaders for practically any niche. It can be frustrating to actually get in touch with people through LinkedIn’s social network, as emails are not displayed by default, even for 1st level contacts. For that matter, almost none of the social networks display members email addresses. Slik Prospector gets those emails for you with a stated accuracy of 98%.
This utility is actually a Chrome browser extension that causes a Slik Prospector button to appear whenever you visit a LinkedIn profile. After clicking the button the person’s email address appears, allowing you to store it locally. You can also save it to the Slik dashboard or export the addresses as you save them to a comma separated (CSV) file, which you can, for example, import from Excel.
Slik Prospector is a new component of Slik’s sales process “supercharging” platform, which the startup claims will automate the “tedious part of sales”. Their aim is to facilitate tools to other startups so that they can “spend less time prospecting & more time selling”. Slik says that the platform is carefully created to “increase your chance of closing”, by:

- They have an algorithm in-place that predicts the best leads to contact based on in-depth analysis of your core customers
- They eliminate the need for manual lead generation & qualification
- Slik gathers data on your prospects & leads from 10 million+ data points, including sector, job titles, geography, stage, social profiles… & of course emails
Slik Prospector’s pricing starts with a ‘Basic’ plan for US $25/month, which includes 300 email credits & CSV export. Their ‘Growth’ plan includes 1,250 email credits & costs US $50/month & the ‘Pro’ Plan ups the number of email credits to 3,000 & costs US $100/month. You can also customize a plan to suit your needs, which can include API access.
Perhaps the most unusual aspect of Slik is the fact that it was founded by 14 year old Canadian entrepreneur & whiz kid, Soroush Ghodsi, who is also its CEO.
