Facebook is venturing into an area dominated by Craigslist – buying & selling. It’s announced ‘Marketplace’, a destination to discover, buy-n-sell stuff with people within the FB community.
According to a post on its official blog, this is a natural extension of an already existing activity in Facebook Groups. “More than 450 million people visit buy & sell groups each month — from families in a local neighborhood to collectors around the world,” the post said.
Marketplace, claimed the post, will make it easy to “find new things you’ll love, & find a new home for the things you’re ready to part with.”
To visit Marketplace, just tap on the shop icon at the bottom of the Facebook app & start exploring.
