There are millions of photos posted on Instagram every day. It’s quite easy for professional & personal posts to get swept under the rug. One needs a way to make an image stand out from the rest. PostMuse is a new app for both Android & iOS, that offers a few ways to do that.
PostMuse says it makes it easier for individuals & businesses to design professional social media posts by providing editable templates inside a mobile app. Which means you can do without a PC, professional software & even specialized skills.
Currently, there are a few templates to choose from since it’s in early beta. After selecting one, the user can fill it with an image of his choice or any other element. He does not even have to use his own photos if he wants as the app also links directly to image repository ‘Unsplash’, where one can find high-quality images. You can even add emoticons to photos using ‘EmojiOne’.
The platform will allow users to use filters on each image, add emoticons & even text. What’s more, there are about 80 different fonts that one can choose from. It’s also possible to add geometrical shapes as well as image borders to improve the composition. After that, these elements can be manipulated by zooming, rotating & moving them till they are just right.
Interestingly, the new app has both, color extraction & color harmonies features that a user may use to understand which colors work best for a composition. Any changes users make to a photo are not set in stone. If a particular step of the editing process hasn’t produced the desired results, there is always the option of the undo button.
The proprietors of the app are Andrei Diaconu & his wife. The couple has elected to make the app free to use. It’s nonetheless in its initial testing stages, & therefore some bugs & glitches are to be expected.
