‘Data Gallery’ lets you use ‘think With Google’ platform to enhance your marketing

‘Data Gallery’ is a new resource released by ‘think with Google’, a Google Content trend service. It helps you to discover insights into emerging market trends across a wide range of industries, based on data gathered by Google & organized into data visualization, infographics & articles.

The think with Google service was 1st launched in 2013 & has been gathering & organizing data since then about things like: “1 in 3 people who say they rarely or never watch sports Content report that they plan to watch the 2016 Summer Games.”, or, “90% of smartphone users are not absolutely certain of the specific brand they want to buy when they begin looking for information online.”

Being as it’s a Google service, Data Gallery offers a search engine keyword search box, which you can pair with 3 check boxes: industries, platforms & themes. This helps you to narrow your search, as you can for instance, concentrate on a particular industry: advertising, automotive, B2B, consumer electronics, fashion…, then choose among platforms like: display, mobile, search or video. Finally you get to choose themes: apps, back-to-school, consumer trends, holiday, parenting, millennials…

The amount & variety of info you can gather with this tool is really amazing, mainly because Google pretty much has extended its data gathering tentacles into every nook & cranny of most industries. It never stops giving us interesting insights that you can use for both fun & maybe profit. Some examples are: 80% of auto shoppers begin their search for a new vehicle online, or that 90% of car buyers do a quick Google search for a shorter more efficient search process & are now taking less time to decide on a final purchase.

Some platform related examples are: only 54% of Online ads on the Web (excluding YouTube) are viewable on desktop, Tablet & mobile (excluding apps); 90% of frequent mobile gamers use YouTube at least once per week to get tips on advancement, gameplay & game discovery – this last insight was gathered with a search on the mobile platform, & if you apply a ‘fashion’ filter to this, you get stuff like: rings are at the top of mobile-searched types of jewelry, followed by necklaces, bracelets & earrings, or that mobile searches in shoe stores have increased year on year by more than 22%.

You can really go on like this forever, gathering useful, & sometimes not so useful knowledge that may (or may not) help make you wiser, or with a bit of luck, guide you to make better Content marketing decisions for your business.
