When chat history is disabled, new conversations will be retained for 30 days and reviewed only when needed to monitor for abuse before being permanently deleted. Additionally, ChatGPT is working on a new subscription service called ChatGPT Business for professionals and enterprises seeking more control over their data. This service will follow the platform’s API’s data usage policies, which means that end users’ data will not be used to train models by default. ChatGPT Business is expected to be available in the near future.
Finally, a new Export option in settings makes it easier to export ChatGPT data and understand what information the platform stores. Users will receive an email with a file containing their conversations and all other relevant data.
