Yahoo seems to be back on even keel late Thursday after Yahoo & its email service are down early Thursday (EST). Users from all over the globe are complaining on social media, etc. No official word yet on the reason behind the outage, though.

(Reuters) – Yahoo said it suffered an outage on Thursday across its services, including Yahoo Mail. “You may not be able to access some of our services, including email. Our top priority right now is getting this fixed”, Yahoo Customer Care said in a tweet bit.ly/2HMesZi. The tweet did not specify the number of users affected by the outage or its cause.

Yahoo outage hits thousands of email users – CNN
London (CNN Business)Yahoo services went down for several hours on Thursday, drawing ire from thousands of its email users who were given no idea how long the outage would last. Downdetector, a website that provides information on online outages, had received more than 5,000 reports of problems related to Yahoo Mail by 2.a.m ET.
