WordPress 5.0 ‘Bebo’ update is here – News

As we had reported a few days ago, WordPress today released its biggest update ever so far. Called ‘Bebo’, WordPress 5.0 comes with what’s called as a “block-based” editor, which will help Site owners insert multi-media in a jiffy. Each piece of Content will be in its own block; a distinct wrapper for easy maneuvering.

Blocks provide a comfortable way for users to change Content directly, while also ensuring the content structure cannot be easily disturbed by accidental code edits. WordPress 5.0 allows the developer to control the output, building polished and semantic markup that is preserved through edits and not easily broken.

Here’s a video on Bebo:

If you are still not sure on how to use Bebo or WordPress 5.0, & prefer to stick with the classic editor, you may continue to do so till 2021.

The Classic Editor plugin restores the previous WordPress editor & the Edit Post screen. It lets you keep using plugins that extend it, add old-style meta boxes, or otherwise depend on the previous editor. To install, visit your plugins page & click the “Install Now” button next to “Classic Editor”. After the plugin finishes installing, click “Activate”.
