For those who really, really want to run Windows 11 on “older” machines that aren’t on Microsoft’s official list of approved, configured machines, there may be a solution. If you want to manually upgrade a PC to Windows 11 either by keeping it in the Windows Insider program or by manually creating the Windows 11 installation media using the Media Creation Tool, you will be able to do this and run the “final” version of Windows 11. But all this is not official from Microsoft’s side.

Microsoft has announced that PCs running on older hardware will be able to install Windows 11. Previously, Microsoft’s specifications and hardware requirements for the new operating system looked set to exclude hundreds of millions of users, forcing them to keep using Windows 10 or upgrade in line with the requirements.
