Meta has said it was launching the ability for people to browse businesses by category on WhatsApp – such as travel or banking – or search for one by name to find it. This, it claimed, would save people from having to find phone numbers on Websites or search for one in their contacts list.
To start, members in Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Colombia & the United Kingdom will be able to use this feature.
Also, a test feature for Online payment from within WhatsApp launched in India has provided to be a success, said Meta. “We want people to be able to make a secure payment right from a chat with their credit or debit card, & we recently launched this experience in India. Now, we’re excited to be testing this in Brazil with multiple payment partners,” said the post.
