Vodafone Business & Microsoft collaborate to boost digital transformation for businesses in Europe – News

Vodafone Business & Microsoft have announced a 5-year strategic relationship to support small & medium-sized businesses across Europe on their digital transformation journeys.

According to a press release by Vodafone, together, the technology companies will deliver new end-to-end Cloud-based services that will leverage 5G, edge computing & the Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to “support growth & deliver innovative tools for hybrid work.”

The agreement builds on an existing relationship & will provide customers with “seamless Cloud experiences” that are flexible, secure, easy-to-use & future-ready – supporting organizations as they transition operations to run outside of legacy infrastructure with professional & managed services that bring the network, Cloud & security together to secure and optimize application performance.

The first area of collaboration is Mixed Reality. Using Vodafone Business’ dedicated edge computing services with Microsoft’s software & HoloLens 2 headset, organizations can improve operations & remote working experiences. They can also create smoother onboarding & training processes for employees.

Combining Vodafone Business’ global footprint & strengths in emerging connectivity technologies with Microsoft’s leading Cloud platforms, Vodafone’s customers will have direct access to Microsoft 365, Teams Phone System & Microsoft Azure.

As part of the agreement, the companies will collaborate & co-innovate to deliver new offerings in areas such as Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) & IoT, bringing the benefits of 5G & Mobile Private Networks (MPNs) to life.
