TikTok Launches Shopping in US – Digital Lifestyle

After an extensive period of testing, TikTok has officially introduced its e-commerce offering, TikTok Shop, to the US, a market boasting over 150 million users.

This launch entails several key features, including a dedicated shop tab prominently featured on the home screen, the incorporation of live video shopping, the introduction of shoppable ads, and the implementation of affiliate programs tailored for content creators.

TikTok had been conducting trials of its e-commerce venture in the US since November of the previous year. Throughout these past few months, the company progressively expanded its roster of participating vendors. ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, simultaneously conducted experimental shopping formats in other regions, including the United Kingdom and numerous Southeast Asian countries.
