WhatsApp now on Firefox & Opera browsers too

When popular mobile messaging app WhatsApp had announced some time ago that it was coming to the desktop, one could almost hear a collective cheer, virtual of course, go up from this community. At that time, WhatsApp was only available on Google Chrome. That changed today when it was announced that the WhatsApp Web client was now also compatible with Mozilla Firefox & Opera browsers.

Voice calling on WhatsApp – On or Off?

What’s up with WhatsApp? Last week, the mobile world was agog with the news that the messaging app had introduced free voice calling for select members in select countries including India. Those who had received the ‘invite’ from other WhatsApp friends, too, were able to enjoy this feature. But over the weekend, there’s been some conflicting reports coming in. While some Websites have reported that WhatsApp, for reasons known to itself, has pulled down the feature, others have said the feature had been extended to all users of WhatsApp on Android.
