Cisco has launched a US $2.5 billion financing program that will allow customers defer 95% of payments until 2021.
The tie-up will see the creation of a new Cisco Chair of the Internet of Things and a Co-Innovation Center presence at the University, bringing together researchers and industry.
By 2022, more IP traffic will cross global networks than in all prior ‘Internet years’ combined up to the end of 2016, said an internet traffic report by Cisco released yesterday.
Mobile data traffic was likely to increase eight-fold in the next five years, said a survey by IT major Cisco. Smartphones alone would account for 81% of global mobile traffic by 2020.
