T-Mobile has revealed that there was “unauthorized” access to some information related to its customers prepaid accounts. It said in an announcement: Our Cybersecurity team discovered and shut down malicious, unauthorized access to some information related to your T-Mobile prepaid wireless account. We promptly reported this to authorities. None of your financial data (including credit card information) or social security numbers was involved, & no passwords were compromised.
According to the teleco, the data accessed was information associated with prepaid service accounts, including names & billing addresses, phone number, account number, rate plan & features.
