“Stenos” transcribes minutes for meetings automatically – New app

There are multiple instances where note taking is required such as lectures, business meetings & interviews, among others. Recording the event is obviously an option, but for the most part a text version is necessary so that it’s easy to search through & share. Stenos offers a solution to this problem, it functions as a note taking app & records & transcribes conversations automatically.

Developed by Stijn van Balen, Stenos is a privacy-first product & produces perfectly transcribed notes effortlessly. The app transcribes from audio in 59 languages so it’s even useful for multilingual discussions. The tool uses advanced speech-to-text transcription technology so that the error ratio is phenomenally low & users can rely on the result.

Using Stenos is very easy, there’s no hoops to jump through, the user simply needs to hit the “Transcribe” button & the app automatically records & transcribes. In addition, each file is auto-organized & categorized. If, however, the user wishes to re-order or rename transcriptions, this facility is also available, so that notes can be stored neatly. A search function is also on offer so that users can easily find transcriptions or parts of transcriptions by entering one or more keywords.

Stenos promises 100% privacy & does not use any of their clients’ data. The use of all functionality is covered by a one off cost on a per hour basis, & this includes the facilities to edit & share documents & audio. They offer a free trial period of 30 minutes so that potential users can try out their app before they buy. Currently, Stenos is on offer on the Apple App Store for iOS.
