“Slite” templates trains teams to work remotely – Startups

A remote workforce is not a new concept & many companies prefer to work without a formal, physically placed team.

Founded in 2016 by Christophe Pasquier & Pierre Renaudin, Slite empowers teams to work remotely by providing communication tools which keep everyone on the same page, never mind their location. The company has received over US $15 million in seed  funding from heavyweight investors such as Index & Spark Capital, while Slite’s ease of use & sleek functionality has attracted “big name” clients such as Airbnb, Spotify & We Transfer..

Slite does more than simply provide communication tools for remote teams. It also offers templates that act as guides to get a company on the perfect trajectory for progress. The templates act as a training ground for managers & teams, forcing members to “learn” to work well remotely by committing plans, ideas & questions to writing – thereby creating actionable documents, which provide clarity & a searchable record for all.

Slite aims to reduce time spent on meetings by providing templates that solve problems using a written document to replace bloated all-team meetings wherever possible; leading to effective decision making & ideation without the time wasting.

Templates available are numerous & classified according to type or industry. They include templates for products, marketing, HR, sales & many other useful categories. All “work” can be centrally located on the app’s dashboard & teams can import their own documents into the app as well as use Slite’s integration facility to link up with popular tools or services such as Slack, Google docs & others.

Slite’s dashboard includes a drag & drop editor that is extremely flexible without being difficult to use. Users can employ Slite’s tools to engage in a variety of communication, & planning activities without leaving the editor, which even offers the option to write docs in Markup, add maps (Google Maps),  embed items, add images, & other useful items.

Apps for Slite are available for iOS, Android, Mac & Windows, & Slite’s pricing plans include a free option with generous storage facilities, unlimited team members & access to unlimited templates. Slite also offers options to invite members with read-only access, such as one-off contractors & an option to employ a Slite account manager to “train” teams to work well remotely, but these options are only for paying members.
