Retain leads by in-app messaging – Infographic

One of the biggest challenges facing mobile marketers today is keeping users engaged with their apps. Did you know that nearly 1 out of 5 users deletes an app after using it just once? One of the most effective ways to increase user retention rates is to make use of inapp messages.
Inapp messages are different from push notifications in that they only alert users while they are actually using the app, not on their home or lock screens. There are a variety of different types of inapp messages, and each plays an essential role in engaging users throughout the customer journey.
Some examples of inapp message types include:
  • Transactional – confirming a subscription sign-up or purchase
  • Announcement – sharing important news about app updates
  • Onboarding – teaching new users about the basic functions of the app
  • New feature – explaining how to use a recently-launched app feature
  • Special promotion – granting users discounts or freebies for logging on
