Mobile device owners can heave a sigh of relief. Qualcomm Technologies has announced the Qualcomm Quick Charge 5, a commercial fast charging technology for Android devices. This new tech, claims the company, delivers an “unprecedented” mobile phone charging speed compared to previous versions.
Qualcomm said in a press release that the world’s 1st commercially viable fast charging platform to support more than 100W charging power in a smartphone, Quick Charge 5 was engineered to allow users to charge devices from 0 to 50% battery power in just 5 minutes. Yup, you read that right.
