Microsoft has said Bing had crossed 100 million daily active users.
Of the millions of active users of the new Bing preview, about one-third are first-time Bing users.
“We see this appeal of the new Bing as a validation of our view that search is due for a reinvention and of the unique value proposition of combining Search + Answers + Chat + Creation in one experience”, said Microsoft.
What’s more, not only is Bing seeing growth in new users, it was also seeing engagement growing as more people were conducting more searches daily.
Microsoft claimed two factors were driving trial & usage. One was Microsoft Edge continued to grow in usage as it had done for the last seven quarters. The other factor driving trial & usage was that the Bing core Web search ranking had taken several significant jumps in relevancy due to the introduction of the Prometheus model.
