Meta has launched Stars store, a Website where people can use Facebook Pay to buy Stars to give to creators. Stars is a new way to show appreciation for creators & so far were available during “live” videos & recorded videos (videos on demand).
But Meta wants the Stars system to proliferate & so has opened the Store. It is a way of allowing people to show developers some love & appreciation.
Stars purchased in the Stars store on mobile or desktop will be deposited into people’s virtual wallets for them to send to eligible creators during Facebook Live or on demand videos. In the Stars store, fans get more Stars for their money at lower prices so they can support even more of their favorite creators.
We want Stars to exist everywhere creators are engaging with their communities on Facebook. To do this, we’re testing Stars in more places, including videos on News Feed, the Watch feed and the gaming tab and next year we’ll test in Reels.
