The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism research released recently has said 51% of people surveyed with Online access used social media as a news source. This trend & the rising use of mobile phones to access news were undermining traditional business models.
The fifth edition of the report was based on a YouGov survey of about 50,000 people across 26 countries.
