Introducing ‘Blisk’, a browser uniquely made for Web developers

new web browser

Are you a Web developer who feels held back by all those restrictions of a standard browser? Introducing ‘Blisk’, the browser that claims to make your coding & developing life better. Blisk is Chromium based & will provide you with a broad range of tools that you can use for Web development & testing. It’s for desktops & mobile devices, too.

Blisk is free & comes with many developer friendly emulations. In addition to coming with a set of top-used phones, Tablets & laptops, these devices will support emulation of screen resolution, device pixel ratio, user agent & touch even resolution.

Blisk browser is a dream for every developer as it has integrated a scroll sync for both, Web view & mobile view. This means as a developer you will easily work with the same part of code on the Web Content & device. How about the URL sync? This, as the developers claim, will help improve your workflow while using multiple devices by simultaneously working on the same page for Web & mobile.

Blisk also brings along a page auto-refresh feature when page sources change. This means you will be able to update pages automatically as the browser will refresh the tabs every time you write code & save changes. The auto refresh works with domains & different file formats be it HTML, CSS HTML, Js, TTF, or even jpeg & png.

As Blisk is still in development phase, there are some features that its developers claim to be implementing, to be included fully in upcoming versions.

These include:

  • Web-based analytics where the browser will monitor the code quality of Web page, hence giving you a real time analytics for each device. This also helps improve your page load speed
  • Be able to take screenshots in one click. Make notes on these screenshots & even share them with your team as they are saved to cloud storage
  • Finally, they claim to be working on integration. This will help you submit bugs from your current page, import test cases & checklists. Some of the integrations include Airbrake, Asana, Drive among others

Blisk browser was initially released for Windows only. However, they have released the latest version for OS X 10.9 or later & an update for Windows too. This version will allow device orientation change as well as zoom.

Blisk is developed by Nikita Bakirov, who is also the CEO of the company. It is located in Poltava, Ukraine.
