On June 8, 2021, many Websites, including e-commerce Sites from around the world went down for a brief while. It was a “glitch” with US-based services provider, Fastly.
Now, in an official communiqué, Fastly explains that an undiscovered software bug surfaced on June 8 when it was triggered by a valid customer configuration change. “We detected the disruption within one minute, then identified & isolated the cause, & disabled the configuration. Within 49 minutes, 95% of our network was operating as normal,” it said in its official blog post. Read the rest here.
