Here comes Adobe Photoshop Camera app – New app

Adobe has jumped into the smartphone arena, specifically the camera space. It’s brought in ‘Photoshop Camera’, an artificial intelligence-powered mobile camera app for that “Photoshop magic” directly to the point of capture.

The Adobe Photoshop Camera app is available for now as a preview for iOS & Android devices, & probably will be generally available in 2020.

So what can you do with this new app? With Adobe Photoshop Camera you can capture, edit, & share photos & moments using real-time Photoshop-grade magic right from the viewfinder. All of which leaves the shutterbug free to focus on storytelling.

The app leverages on the Adobe Sensei intelligence. The app can instantly recognize the subject in your photo & provide recommendations, & automatically apply sophisticated, unique features at the moment of capture (i.e. portraits, landscapes, selfies, food shots), while always preserving an original shot. It also understands the technical Content (i.e. dynamic range, tonality, scene-type, face regions) of the photo & automatically applies complex adjustments.

We built Photoshop Camera as a Sensei-first app on our journey to expand our focus to deliver creative tools, including Photoshop, for everyone.

Wait, there’s more, it seems. The app also acts as a curation platform. Here’s what Abhay has written: …. our new app also unlocks the power of the creative community by allowing users to access a curated feed of lenses made by well-known artists & influencers. It’s so easy & simple – anyone can use them to express themselves through the app.
