Gumball – a new marketplace for podcasters – News

Podcasters, here’s some cheer for you. The Los Angeles, US-based podcast network Headgum recently launched Gumball, a marketplace that allows brands to buy host-read advertisements directly from podcasters, is reportedly quite successful in the money-making ecosystem of podcasts.

This new marketplace for podcasters comes on the heels of Headgum’s success as the 1st podcast network to use Gumball’s core technology for its own line-up of podcasts. Headgum said in a press release that with the release of the Headgum network, Gumball had grown network revenue by 55% year-over-year. To date, over 300 brands have used Gumball technology & partnered with podcasters on impactful campaigns, delivering over 4,000 host-read advertisements.

Gumball’s new platform “now empowers established & upstart podcasters to easily connect with advertisers, efficiently manage campaigns, get paid faster, & independently track advertising revenue.

The platform streamlines the sponsorship process so podcasters can book more ads, retain more advertising revenue & remain focused on creating compelling, listener-centric Content.

“Until today, advertisers and podcasters have been faced with an archaic advertising ecosystem, which was not developed or optimized for the rapidly-changing podcast medium. We listened & heard that the lack of reliable tools made it difficult for advertisers & podcasters to easily & transparently collaborate. We built a platform that fully supports listener-centric, impactful advertising campaigns for both podcasters & advertisers,” said Marty Michael, Co-founder, Gumball, in a statement.
