Google sets up $15 million assistance program with SIDBI in India – News

Google has announced at its annual event for the South Asian market that it had formed a partnership to provide loans to small & medium business in India.

As part of a $15 million financial assistance program designed to provide small businesses with timely credit, the company has partnered with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the country’s apex regulator of micro, small & medium enterprises.

The program will prioritize women-owned businesses & those that are engaged in production of equipment for the country’s fight against the pandemic.
