Google releases preview of revamped ‘Contacts’ feature

Google has released a preview of its revamped ‘Contacts’ feature. The new one comes loaded with new features,according to this blog post by Google. The new form Contacts feature allows, among other things, to get rid of duplicate contacts. Google has rebuilt the “Find duplicates” feature from the ground up to help give users a quick and painless way to clean up their duplicates.Other features include updating of contacts automatically. This could be quite a helpful change. We all know that as known people change jobs, cities, & names, it can be tough to stay up to date with their latest information. The new Contacts ensures that the info users see is still accurate & ready to use by blending your contact’s Google profile information with the stuff you already have. For now, the preview is not available for those who are Google Apps customers.
