Google has updated its generative AI search and added more features.
The company said it was constantly working to improve generative AI powered Search experience (SGE) which provides quick access to new topics, tips, products, and related articles. It had now enhanced the experience by incorporating images and videos into the overviews, allowing users to better understand certain concepts or see demonstrations.
The time it takes to generate AI overviews has been reduced by half and the company is committed to further improving response time. To enhance the user experience, publish dates have been added to links, enabling users to determine the recency of the information from web pages. Additionally, the company is experimenting with new methods to help users find web pages that support the information provided in the AI overviews.
