Google Android gets more features – News

Google today announced more features for Android, including one related to saved passwords. “Password Checkup”, available for desktops, is now available on Android. Password Checkup will be on all devices running Android 9 & above. It’s a feature that lets you know if the password you used has been previously exposed & the action that needs to be taken.

On Android now, when you enter a password into an app on your phone using Autofill with Google, the credentials will be checked against a list of known compromised passwords — that is, passwords that have potentially already been stolen & posted on the Web. If your credentials show up on one of these lists, you will be alerted & tips will be given how to change it.

Another change announced today is an improvement in Messages on Android. Google has introduced a scheduling feature for Android messaging.

With the schedule feature, you can compose a message ahead of time when it’s convenient for you, & schedule it to send at the right moment. Download Messages or update to the latest version to schedule your next text.
