According to hosting company GoDaddy, a data breach occurred in which the user data of 1.2 million of its customers may have been exposed.
The company’s chief information security officer Demetrius Comes explained in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that an “unauthorized third party” had access to its managed WordPress hosting environment.
