Social network Facebook has quietly launched a smartphone app called ‘Lasso’, which is said to be a competitor to the popular ‘TikTok’ short-video service. What Lasso does is allow anyone to create & share short videos.
In the description on Google Store, it says this:
Once you’ve found a type of video that’s trending, whether it’s #comedy or #fail, you can use the in-app camera to create your own spin on them with special effects, music, text on video & editing tools that you can use to cut and edit your funny videos. Add hashtags to your video to share it with the world. You can also add your videos directly to your Facebook story.
