Facebook has 500 million users watching video daily

Social network Facebook announced its 3rd quarter results late on Wednesday. While we will spare our readers the business portions of the earnings call, there are some interesting nuggets of information tucked away in the announcement.
Video, for example, has been a big traffic driver for Facebook lately. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the platform was generating 8 billion video views per day. According to news agency Bloomberg, about 500 million people watch videos on Facebook’s platform each day. FB has laid major emphasis on video, & looks like it’s paying off.
