“Explo” offers customer facing dashboards that integrate easily – Startups

customer facing dashboards

Building dashboards for customers to track analytics is always a secondary function for businesses or developers; it’s not their core area of expertise & often takes considerable energy & resources.

What Is Explo

Understanding this pain point, Explo.co has developed an analytics API (Application Programming Interface) that works to display data for a business’ client. These customer facing dashboards are very easy to embed the solution into almost any existing application.

Who Developed It

The API is the brainchild of co-founders CEO Gary Lin, COO Andrew Chen, CTO Rohan Varma & product designer Carly Stanisic. The platform is based in San Francisco, USA.

The developers needed to build an analytics dashboard for an application they were building & realized that the difficulty they encountered was probably fairly common. As a result they launched Explo to assist businesses and other developers with a solution that covers all the bases, is completely configurable for specific use cases, & plugs into existing infrastructure via an API.

Who Is It For?

Marketplaces – Explo assists marketplaces by providing sellers on the platforms with data, which demystifies their understanding of profitability, inventory levels & sales volumes. Sellers can download their transaction data directly, without the need for the platform to export and send via email.

Events platforms – offers clients data to view attendees, speaker popularity, & interaction volumes.

Operations platforms – Designed for warehouse operations, transport, logistics, or construction management. Explo allows for the creation of specific dashboards, tailored to an application, & gives users the option to use data to optimize operations.

SaaS applications – Assists a SaaS platform in offering users’ data & insights to understand engagement

What Are The Other Features

The API integrates directly with a number of the most popular databases, there’s no need to engage in complex setups. It’s a plug-and-play solution. Supported databases include:

  1. PostgreSQL
  2. MySQL
  3. Snowflake
  4. Redshift
  5. BigQuery
  6. MongoDB
  7. Rockset
  8. Azure

Investors & Funding

Explo recently snagged over $2.5 million in seed funding. Y Combinator and Amplo are the most recent investors.
