Don’t get the jitters but FB’s just announced an experiment to beam the Net using lasers fitted on drones

Social network Facebook is experimenting with the transmission of the Web using a laser beam. FB’s Internet.org initiative announced that it was testing a method for delivering the Internet via lasers to help connect people around the world even faster.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO said that the connection would dramatically increase the speed of sending data over long distances. 
Facebook also released a whitepaper outlining a plan to use Free Space Optics to distribute a concentrated laser beam to aid in connectivity.
