Coinbase NFT launched in beta – Web3

Coinbase has launched in beta its 1st version of Coinbase NFT at nft.coinbase.com.

Beta testers will be able to create a Coinbase NFT profile to buy & sell NFTs using any self-custody wallet, whether that’s Coinbase Wallet or something else. For a limited time, there’ll be no Coinbase transaction fees. They will be eventually added, which will be in line with Web3 industry standards.

Coinbase will start with a small set of beta testers who’ll be invited based on their position on the waitlist.

Here’s what else you’ll find in the product

Curate your profile & connect

You can create a profile that represents you by curating it with the NFTs that tell your story. Connect any self-custody wallet to select the NFTs you want to highlight, or hide, on your profile.

Build & engage your community

The rise of NFT communities have shown that Online conversation extends far beyond the moments around transactions. Here, you can Follow other profiles & start the conversation with comments. Once signed in, you can post comments directly on NFTs, & can up/downvote comments as conversations unfold.

Discover the best NFTs

Effortlessly browse NFTs for sale with the Discover feed. Coinbase will make personalized NFT recommendations to save you time searching for them.

Easily buy & sell NFTs

Coinbase claims it has made buying & selling NFTs simple & easy. Get inspired by the NFTs in your feed, on collection pages, & on profiles. Check out everything that’s for sale on the Shop Tab.

What’s next for Coinbase NFT?

In the coming weeks & months, Coinbase will add more features. It is planning to add drops, minting, token-gated communities, & the option to buy NFTs with your Coinbase account or a credit card. It will also add support for NFTs on multiple chains. And over time, it intends to decentralize more features by moving them from Coinbase tech to decentralized solutions.
