A new report has said brands were “riding the organic stories” wave, while Stories ads were the next frontier.
According to ‘State Of Social’ an annual report drawn up by Buffer (app) & ‘Social Chain’, the Stories format had taken the social media industry by storm. It said data suggested that more than one billion accounts now used Stories globally on Facebook-owned properties.

As the number of people using Stories has grown so has the number of businesses using the format to connect with their audiences on social media, said the Buffer State of Social report. And it appears that those who are using stories are having success: 57% of brands believed that Stories had been “somewhat effective” or “very effective” as a part of their social media strategy.

The Buffer State of Social report also talks of just how many marketers have done influencer marketing, how effective has the effort been, & what’s the best platform for that? It also reflects on what percentage of marketers use messaging apps, and what is their top choice?

The ‘State of Social’ is Buffer’s annual report focused on the world of social media marketing, providing insights for marketers to “fuel” their strategy for the year ahead. Over 1800 marketers from businesses of all sizes, across a range of industries, were interviewed for this report.
