Filipinos surf the Web the most, Japanese the least, says report – Internet news

Here, people spent an average of 10 hours and two minutes a day Online in 2018. Of the countries surveyed, people in Japan spent the least amount of time Online, averaging just 3.45 hours a day.

According to this report by social media management platform ‘Hootsuite’ & digital marketing agency ‘We Are Social’, Brazil stood 2nd at 9 hours & 29 minutes of Internet usage, followed by Thailand with 9 hours & 11 minutes. Next were Colombia with 9 hours, & Indonesia with 8 hours & 36 minutes.

‘The Digital 2019’ report found that the worldwide average amount of time spent Online was 6.42 hours daily. US citizens surfed for about 6.31 hours compared with the 5.52 hours of China & 5.46 hours of the UK.

There are now 5.11 billion unique mobile users

Total number of Internet users had grown from 4.24 billion to 4.39 billion, a growth of 9% since January 2018

A year ago there were 3.19 billion social media users. Now there were 3.48 billion, representing a 9% growth as well

Of these 3.48 billion users, 3.26 billion of them used social media on mobile devices, growing by 10% from the past year.
